I am having to re-install microsoft office

Not a probelm with word and excell I am just concerned that outlook will not configure the same way as i had it before and i will lose all my e-mails and or my personal folders that contained e-mails as well will be lost.

can someone reasure me that by re-installing outlook I will not lose any e-mails and that my folders will remane unchanged?

In theory Outlook should pick up on the previous installation, but there's always a chance it probably won't.
Therefore the best thing you can do is export everything from Outlook and write down the email account settings BEFORE you uninstall. Prevention is better than cure.
