iTunes installation freezes

At first, the problem was with my iPhone 3G. It was not showing up in iTunes. I fixed that problem, but then was told to uninstall and then reinstall iTunes. Now, every time I try downloading iTunes the installation gets stuck at 76%. I receive no errors. I have tried...

Every solution on the Apple Support site
Using a download manager (installation then freezes at 97%)
Deleting the cache and temp files
Using a different web browser
Downloading from File Hippo
Updating my firmware

Anyone have any suggestions? It would be greatly appreciated. iTunes is a must seeing as how I receive updates for my iPhone.
