It's been going on for the past week. I thought that it would go away by itself, but from the looks of things, it won't.

Everytime I press the SPACEBAR button, the on-screen pointer/arrow thingy moves in a "North East" direction on the screen. It is very annoying. The pointer/arrow thingy sort of glides, and while it is "gliding", the pointer/arrow cannot be moved in any way at all.

Could this be malware/virus/or something like that?

Please help me, and I would just like to say that I am not very good with computers, so can anyone please give me a step by step tutorial on how to solve this problem?

Thanks.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
