Hello,

I am having this same problem. Whenever I try to open AOL 9.1, I get the BSOD: BAD_POOL_HEADER, and my system Dell XPS M 1330 with Vista Business, reboots. AOL suggested reinstalling AOL 9.1, but the problem continues. AOL 9.1 was working flawlessly for over 1 year, however, there was a Windows automatic update patch on approximatley May 15, 2009, which started this whole problem. I could correct the problem by using System Restore to bring my system back to the May 15, Restore Point (prior to the Windows Update) and AOL 9.1 would start properly without any problems. However, Windows updates again and the problem starts all over again. Now for some reason System Restore will not give me all my Restore Points prior to May 23, and that is too late the windows update of May 15, to be removed through System Restore.

Dell has been no help. Most forums says it is due to hardware conflicts, nobody wants to fess up to the fact that is is a windows update issue.

Any one here have ideas for soutions?

Jeff

Looking on other forums. i have found a work around for this

By changing the File ATWPKT2.sys to atwpkt2.old in the system folder, it will enable Aol to skip the connectivity section thus preventing Blue Screen

Good luck
