I have a Dell Dimension 4700 running XP Pro. Looking at Dell's support site, this is the only OS they support, and the only one they supply drivers for (on board NIC, Video , etc.). I've flattopped the box before, and know that with a clean XP the NIC won't function with the defautl driver, so I'm wary that installing Windows 7 will leave me in the same spot. Any suggestions (apart from "go buy a new computer" :) )

TIA

If you can find all of the VISTA drivers for your device you are fine as the Windows 7 will run hardware with Vista drivers.
