i saw this when my computer started to run slowly and i thought, that can't be good, what is going on over here.
i closed a few proccesses as i had hundreds runnig, could that be the problem??
i have always had problems not knowing the minimal programs i need to run

i have Win XP.

Open Task Manager. Click on Processes tab. Look at CPU column. Which process uses CPU the most?

Could you try upgrading your RAM? Take some strain off the CPU?
