my computer will not turn on?

Hi, my computer will not turn on. The led lights and the fans turn on for a second when you push the power button, then turn rite off. The computer is a compaq. Also the green light on the back of the cpu is on. the problem started when the braker to my room was tripped, after i reset it no more computer. I have the computer plugged into a regular powerstrip, any advise????
