hi!!!

just wondering if i could get abit of help with resetting my laptop back to factory settings and programs. i recently had mallware and managed to get rid of it by backing up my laptop. but my laptops speed has gone very slow i use 2 programs for work (virtual dj, mixmeister) which are running really really slow and take agers to load my songs which is a pain. i have a windows xp sp2 disc which i tryed to reinstall but would not work for some reason pluss i keep getting this message "unable to create xml parser instance. please reinstall microsoft xml core services .msxml. 4.0 sp2 or higher". if any 1 could help me with my manny problems i much appreciate it.

What brand, and model of your laptop?
Do you have Recovery CD?
When you try Windows XP CD, do you boot from it?

If your Toshiba has recovery partition, hold 0 (zero) key, and power it on. You may hear beeping, don't worry about it.
To boot from Windows CD, hold "C" key, and power it on.

Hold Windows logo key, and hit Pause/Break

Also...
Please, post some computer info:
- processor type, amount of RAM (hold Windows logo key, hit Pause/Break key)
- hard drive size/free space (open "My Computer", right click on hard drive letter, click "Properties")

Yes, you need CD with SP3 slipstreamed.
On the other hand, you have only 448MB of RAM (512 - 64 for video). I'm not familiar with VirtualDJ, or MixMeister programs, but I'd assume, they probably need more RAM to work better. Especially, since you said, those two programs are pretty slow. You should get another 512MB of RAM, and possibly real video card.
