wireless connection problems!

ok so I have rogers high speed connected to one laptop wirelessly. I just bought a new laptop and the wireless connection does not show up on it? I have installed the software and the connection works fine when I physically plug the ethernet cable from the modem to my new laptop but I can't set up a wireless connection on my new laptop??
