An NTVDM CPU Error like Kramer from Seinfeld

It pops in (as the desktop loads), and just hangs around...
Its not doing anything destructive(that i know about), and its definitely not doing anything productive.
Its just there for no reason.


When i start up my computer i get an error that reads:

"NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:11e9 IP:001e OP: ff ff ff ff ff"

It gives me the option to ignore it or close. Neither which does anything.

I am a newbie to this site, but i have researched this problem. I know what the NTVDM is, and i have tried renaming my windows update manager. That doesnt work.
I need help with this.
