My computer crashed last night and when I tried to reboot, i got the black "boot in safe mode" "boot using last safe settings" or "normal launch" page. If I chose the last good setting or the launch normal, windows would got to the launch page but then recycle back to restart.
If I chose boot to safe mode I got a bunch of lines then it stopped at

multi (0) disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)/WINDOWS/system32/acpitabl.dat

and nothing further.
Then I tried reinstalling Win XP 64 PRO but it only would go to the "Windows XP 64 Setup" Blue screen but no scrolling at the bottom as usual. It just sat there with the words in the upper left and the blue screen. So...... I bought a new HD and installed it after unplugging the old HD. I couldn't think of anything else to do and I needed to get back online quickly.

I now have the new HD with Win XP 64 installed on it and I have reintalled the old HD as a slave with the partitions and everything intact.
I am now at a crossroads and need advice. My current problem is, I can't figure how to import my Outlook express address book and messages to the new C drive and the newly installed outlook express. I can't find them and they aren't where one would normally look (the default file inside the C/Documents & Settings/ Administrtor/Local Applications/Identities/bunch of numbers and symbols file and I need them very badly.

Since this outlook thing is giving me trouble, should I just delete the Windows file on the old HD and then try to reinstall my Win XP 64 there to reestablish the old HD as the master or can someone help me find my address book and all my messages? I am open to any creative solutions. Oh.. and when I hooked up the old HD, it did a checkdisc but I didn't see the results. I left the room and when I returned, it was done with no windows open showing me anything.
Nice to find this site and hope you can help me with this.
Thanks
