Hi all,

I have downloaded and installed StopZilla after reading all the good things on this website. I gave also purchased a copy and love it. It fixed all my popup problems that i had.

BUT, I have a question to ask.

I feel like an idiot asking as its probably right infront of my but i cant see it.

How do i configure Stopzilla not to startup when i turn my computer on???

At the moment, it boots up when i start my computer. How do i turn that option off??

Your probably wondering why??? Well, i am using NOD32 (Paid) and dont thiink 2 applications are necessary? Or are they??

Thanks,

Peter.

Click Start > run > type msconfig > click ok

Select the Startup tab, unselect StopZilla

That fix it ?

Hello Peter

CLICK HERE to download the HijackThis Installer:
  • Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click on HJTInstall.exe to run the program.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
  • Accept the license agreement by clicking the "I Accept" button.
  • Click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
  • Click "Save log" to save the log file and then the log will open in Notepad.
  • Click on "Edit -> Select All" then click on "Edit -> Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
  • Come back here to this thread and attach the log in your next reply.
  • Do NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet! Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Make sure to attach the log instead of posting it

Hi Rorschach112,

Please find enclosed.

FYI, I am using ESET NOD32 as my anti virus. Do you suspect spyware etc??

Thanks again for your help.

Peter.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
