Laptop won't let me uninstall norton

I am trying to uninstall norton so that i can install macaffee but it wont let me

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool

I hope that works for you as I'm getting ready to uninstall Norton at the end of its trial on this new computer and may need to use it too.
