I Dont know what to do anymore about my system freezing up. Everytime im trying to surf the internet the computer will freeze up. even win i try to do a windows update it will freeze. Sometimes I can be on for 20 min before it freezes, somtimes its the first page i try to visit. I used to get a blue screen saying a fatal exception has occurd. had/has something to do with vxd. My computer will also freeze when im offline. I cant figure out whats causing this. Ive ran almost everything in Norton System works (took a long time with it freezing). I would realy apreciate some help so i can use my computer again. I'll post again with some more info soon. also my computer freezes up about 1 out of 5 times when rebooting.

3rd time trying to post this . This time its gonna be short and sweet. still having freez probs. but not as bad as beforei came to this site. In, advance i want to thank anyone who reads this. even if you cant help me out I still appreciate the consideration and effort. heres the hijack report.
>OH! almost forgot to say that the comp. froze in the middle of the microtrends scan and i didnt want to take all that time to try and do it again(i will though, just say the words) my last norton anti virus scan was five or 6 days ago and this problem has been going on for about a month now so i should be virus free.

PS: Im probably gonna have it defrag while im in bed(hope it doesnt mess something up) if this changes the hijack log then ill post a new one when i get up.

PSS: I'm going, going, gone CRAZY :tazz: (spent almost 10 hours straight just trying to download and run those programs with all the freezes and isp disconnects)

Hi KsDrummer
  • Download CWShredder (there is a link in my signature), unzip it, and save it on the Desktop. Please do not run it yet, though.
  • Update CWShredder, Be sure and check the "Fix" button, Close out the program
  • Please set your system to show
all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

  • Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check mark next to the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = about:blank
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P NETWORKING] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\P2P NETWORKING\P2P NETWORKING.EXE /AUTOSTART
    O16 - DPF: {1D6711C8-7154-40BB-8380-3DEA45B69CBF} (Web P2P Installer) -

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

  • Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\P2P NETWORKING\P2P NETWORKING.EXE
Exit Explorer, and reboot as normal afterwards.
Post back a fresh HijackThis log and we will take another look.

Sorry about that,

Please download and install AD-Aware.
Check Here on how setup and use it - please make sure you update it first.
Run a scan with Ad-aware have it fix all it finds,
Reboot your computer,
  • Download FindIt's.zip to your desktop: http://forums.net-in...=post&id=142443
  • Unzip/extract the files inside to a folder on your desktop.
  • Open the folder and run FindIt's.bat and wait for notepad to open a text file. It will take awhile so please be patient ...
  • Then post the results here please, along with the new HijackThis log.
