Hello,
I am trying to now use fire fox as I.E.8 in windows 7 is slow, slow, slow!
Firefox does not save my settings, and I can not get it to import from I.E.
Any advice on how to get firefox to do this would be appreciated.

I'm no expert on Firefox, and in fact I just posted my own question about Firefox to this forum, but as I've continued to search the Internet for an answer, I came across this website that might be of help to you.

Give it a look.

I have not had success with importing my favorites from IE, but I can now add bookmarks and firefox remembers them.
The only thing that I did was check to remember my history for 90 days.
This does not compromise my privacy as I do not do any thing that I would hide any ways.
I am eating crow right now because I always chose IE over firefox, but now I have to say that firefox is the better choice.

You should not be having any problems importing your favorites from IE into Firefox. When you go to Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks and then select Import from the File menu, it gives you several choices of which IE is one of them. If there are IE favorites in the normal IE favorites folder, Firefox will import them. Otherwise, go to IE and export the favorites to your Desktop. Then go back and chose "From File" to import to Firefox. This will allow you to browse to the Desktop file.

Everything is working much better now.

Glad you got it figured out. I have enough problems so will not bother with Win 7 or FF3. Perfectly happy with XP and Vista. :)
