I have been successfully burning dvds with my Nero 6 OEM software that came with this computer 3 years ago and suddenly it has decided to chuck a tantrum. It will encode the movie (in AVI form) for about 2-2 and 1/2 hours and then begin the burn. But that's when the trouble begins.
I keep getting a variety of error messages, and this is the one that I thought to write down last night.
"The instruction at 0x006b6ce4 referenced memory at 0x01652008. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program."
This is VERY frustrating because this program has worked beautifully for the last 3 years and has suddenly gone wonky on me. I uninstalled it, defragged the drive, ran spyware programs, and then reinstalled it. But nothing has helped.
I have noticed that my DVD-Shrink program IS able to successfully access the burning rom and I can still use that for burning movies that are not in AVI format. But when I use NERO 6 alone, it is really failing time after time.
One more thing -- the dvd burner is a Lite-On.
Any suggestions out there???
