I'll try and put in as much detail as possible, so it's easier to solve the problem.

Computer Specs

Intel Duo 6200 2.something ghz
2gb DDR Ram
Sata Hard Drive
2 x SLI Nvidia GTs

Computer is about 2-3 years old, faily good condition, been reformatted a few times, never had any real problems before (apart from occasional virus).

Basically, past few days one of the graphics card had a slight over heating problem, reaching about 80 degrees at some points and cuasing games to lag a tiny bit every few mins, not too bad. Fans all worked properly, everything else ok, computer showed no sign of impending doom lol.

This morning, I was basically using my computer and a few odd things happened. Firstly, the mouse stopped working and the red light on the mouse dissapeared ( i assume loss of power), then the keyboard stopped working and then after that the screen/pc froze for about 20 seconds. Then some kind of BSOD, and my pc tried to dump physical memory or something. I let it do this, then it restarted itself. Unfortunately, it came up with this message

"Windows could not start up because the following file is missing or corrupt:
WINDOW\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM"

It also said, that I could press R to try and repair file from Disk/Setup files

However,

every time i press/pressed R, it hung for a few seconds on a black screen, then computer restarted itself.

I tried safe mode etc, but literally cannot get past that screen, computer restarts itself afterwards. Its not over heating or anything, and It hasnt had any real problems before so I'm quite unsure of what it is.

Any ideas ? and/or how can I get round this ( I dont mind reformatting etc)

(p.s : I'm decent with computers, e.g I can reformat a computer, but im not an expert so please try and explain answers / instructions in a little detail )

Thanks in advanced.

***Update***

Ok, so I found apparently its the graphics card, I'm gonna reinstall windows xp, etc all later today, however I've always liked SLI and will take this opportunity if possible, to upgrade the fried graphics card.

I have no idea what graphics card will work with my system, I've uploaded an
EVEREST Ultimate Edition Pc report. Could someone be kind enough to read it and point me in the direction of a card that would work with my system, is good and is between £100-200.
