Just noticed this problem a few days ago. With the computer running XP sits idle for 15-20 seconds, The CPU usage will jump to 100%. In the Windows Task Manager, I'll sit and wait and watch. Rundll32.exe will have low CPU usage while I'm using the computer, but once I stop moving the mouse, after 15-20 seconds, I'll notice that Rundll32.exe will eat up all available CPU, to equal 100%. This goes on until I move the mouse again, at which point CPU usage drops back to normal.

Antivirus scans from Avast 4 (home) turn up nothing. I have a log file generated from Hijackthis.

I thought about pulling the file off the XP CD and just copying it over using a Linux Live CD to get into the system.

Any ideas? Thanks!!
