I've been following a bunch of the threads related to this and done a bunch of that stuff in addition to Ad-Aware, CWShredder, & Spybot. I have Norton AV, up to date. I am including my FindIt log and my HiJackThis log. FYI, I have deleted (again) the aurora reg folder and some ZepMon folders in the registry prior to the FindIt log I have included. That stuff could come back after a reboot, I suppose. Thanks in advance for your help.

Disable Microsoft antispyware. It may interfere with the fix.

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = about:blank

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O4 - Global Startup: load627.lnk = C:\Program Files\Genovation\Micropad 627 Version 5.33\load627.exe<<what is this?
If you don't know or don't need it, delete it.

O23 - Service: xaabilvtnmdt (inkpyznm5) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\bkdniwxs5.exe (file missing)

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\bkdniwxs5.exe

Reboot your PC.

If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and we'll remove what's left.

FYI, the load627 startup from my last hijackthis is known to me. It is the driver for an auxilary 10-key keypad from Genovation. I followed your steps, but I could not find the file to delete on reboot. Also, as shown in the hijackthis log below, that "xaabilvtnmdt" service refuses to die.

Thanks in advance for your help.

We need to disable M. Antispyware or nothing will work.

Click Start > Run > type services.msc, then click OK
Scroll down and right click on 'COM+ System Service'
Select 'Properties' and set the "Service Status" option to "Stop"
Set "Startup type" to "Disabled", click Apply, then OK.

Please Download CoolWebShredder, from http://www.geekstogo...=download&id=17 , Extract it & run the program. Click the Next Button & let it scan. Make sure you let it fix all CWS Remnants.

Run HijackThis and click on Config, then Misc Tools, and then press the Delete an NT service.. button. When it opens you should then enter inkpyznm5 and press OK.

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

O23 - Service: xaabilvtnmdt (inkpyznm5) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\bkdniwxs5.exe (file missing)

Reboot and post a new log. :tazz:

This one is bothering me.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {926970BB-61A2-C191-C8E2-8D3E7D5B97AE} - (no file)

* Download a free copy of Registrar Lite from HERE and install the program.

* Open Registrar Lite and copy and paste the following text into the Address Bar:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects

* Click on the green GO button to the right of the Bar.

* Scroll down the list of available CLSIDs in the right hand pane until you find the one you are looking for. Left click on it to highlight it

* From the top toolbar, choose Security Tab<<Edit<<Permission<<highlight Administrator and click on the ADVANCED button.

* Make sure there is a check mark placed next to :"Inherit from parent the permission entries that apply to the child objects...." Click OK.

* Now click on the RED X on the taskbar to Delete the key.

* Exit the program

REboot and post a new log.

Woo-hoo! And I thought today wouldn't be a good day!

I'm happy to report you are clean! :) ;)

Congratulations! Your system is CLEAN :tazz:

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster (it's free for personal use) Click Here.

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Consumes no system resources.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.

It's also very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks. Click Here to make sure that you have the latest patches for Windows.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend FireFox Posted Image.
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.

After doing all these, your system will be thoroughly protected from future threats. ;)
