My wife's computer has been hit with Trojan-Spy.HTML.Smitfraud.c and this has been complicated by the fact that we cannot access IE to access the web to get to resources like Highjackthis. We can not get the start button or anything else on the toolbar. From task manager I can get to the desktop icons and get Outlook Express to run as well as other programs like Word, Excel, games, etc. However when I try to run IExplo.exe it comes back with a message it cannot find it. If I do the IEinstall it says it has detected a newer version and I am still dead in the water.

OS is Windows XP Professional.

Any help appreceiated.
