So basically I've been having a really bizarre problem with Windows lately. Once I start up the computer, it will wait for about 2-5 minutes or so and then freeze completely. I then have to restart the computer and it won't freeze for the rest of the day. Then I turn the computer off at night, wake up the next morning, turn it on, it freezes again. Restart it, repeat the same process.

Sometimes it doesn't happen, it seems to be totally random. I don't have any clue what's causing this whatsoever, so I'm afraid I can't provide any more information that I'm sure is relevant. If anyone has any idea about why this is happening, please help me out. This is getting really quite annoying :).

I would start with standard maintenance such as:

2) Run a full disk check including 'automatically fix errors' and 'scan for and automatically detect bad sectors'.

3) If you don't have CClean download it from here: http://www.ccleaner.com/
a) Then run the cleaner: click on Brush at top left
b) Then go to Tools: click on the wrench on the left, and click on STARTUP. Take a long look at the programs you have opening at startup

Other than that I can't think of anything to check at this time, perhaps this will give you more information. It could be your first indication of a piece of hardware going bad, but the problem is that it could be anything from your power supply to your mother board.

Perhaps others can give you some other/better advice.

Write back with any more information asap.
