dvd burner not working

i had problems with my dell inspiron b120 so i requested for my operating system disks to be sent so i can reinstall them..... i reinstalled all my programs and operating system now i cannot burn dvds or find any program or software for my driver..... i looked it up and it said that the device is not ready.... my burner is a cdrw/dvd crx835e......... is there somewhere i can make this work for me for nothing or is there something i can do to fix this cause it worked perfectly fine before i reinstalled the operating and software disks..... please help....... thanks in advance
