since a few weeks the speed of my internet connection is slowing down periodically and even "freezes" so there is no data being transmitted for a few seconds (I use firefox 3.something).
Then it speeds up again to my normal dsl speed until the same thing happens again. I experience this especially when I´m downloading from my ftp server. The connection times out every 3 minutes or so and has to be reconnected by my ftp programm (filezilla). This makes the ftp download superslow over the time.
This was not the case before. I followed all the steps of your Malware Cleaning Guide. But nothing changed.
While I followed the steps of your Malware Cleaning Guide first Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware found a thing named "Trojan.DNSChanger" and removed it succesfully. I scanned my labtop with AVG 8 FRee Edition and it found two viruses and removed them succesfully. After a second scan my computer was clean according to AVG.
All the other programs (I´ve been using spybot for a year or so and it never found anything) and SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition didn´t find anything after I used it on your recomendation.
Because I was worried that my labtop is still infected and therefore the internet connection "freezes" periodically, I thought I ask for help!
