I need help getting my control panel on my windows vista to work

I have a Windows Vista and my control panel doesn't work i just get a error message here's a pic it says windows explorer has stopped working and when i press cancel my whole screen just goes black except for my desktop then everythings back again. Help is needed :) Oh and i couldn't screenshot it with the error
