Hi,

Yesterday, after the quarrantine of a Trojan found by a sweep of my Webroot Antivirus, my computer won't boot up once Windows XP loads. My screen goes blue and the following message appears:

STOP: c0000135 {Unable to Locate Component}

This application has failed to start because USER32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Jim

Boot into safe mode and restore the file. Use a different program to clean it. If the doesnt work and u have a restore disk run a repair.

Hi wannabe1,

No, my computer won't start in safe mode either. Once Safe Mode starts it just goes back to the blue screen with the same message displayed as before.
