costs a lot of money compared to a free AV like Avira, or AVG

Everything looks expensive when you compare it to something free. :)

We can really only be entitled to our own opinions - you're not entitled to have anyone else's opinion.

Did I use the wrong statement, or were you making a joke?

[*]when installed begins to slow down system drastically , Fair anough , but the new NIS2009 has improved this...
[*]costs a lot of money compared to a free AV like Avira, or AVG , True
[*]after replaced with Avira, Avira finds more viruses that Norton missed , good point
[*]Takes up many resources , same as... "when installed begins to slow down system drastically"
[*]And its just never been looked upon very highly in the tech world in my opinion , True ( but they are coming back up there )
[*]there is more, but i have to switch classes, ill edit when i get them , love to hear them :)

I was teasing you. It's redundant to say 'our own opinions' when you could just say 'our opinions'. That's all. :)

I have to admit I've been on the Norton-bashing band-wagon for quite a few years now, but after reading the article linked earlier, I may have to get off my high horse and actually take a fresh look at 'em :)

Although, it will be hard to break my knee-jerk reaction of uninstalling Norton from any system I find it on, it would be nice to see them get back in the "game".
