Hi all, whenever I close a Word document which I have not edited or made any change to, I will receive the box prompt 'Do you want to save the changes to xxx.doc?' This is annoying as I would simply want to close the document without any prompt.

Is there any way to remove the prompt?

Thanks. I am using Office 2002.

cheers :)

There should be an option to turn on/off prompting under tools/options/save - it has been a while since I used 2002 but I never get a prompt so at one time I must have turned them off! :)

Hey thanks, but I just checked, there is no prompt for that (there is a save normal template prompt which is not checked in my case).
