I've tried flashing the drive but it didn't work, I still get the same problem. When I insert a blank Sony DVD+R 16x disc and go to my computer my dvd drive says it's a cd-r drive and doesn't recognise the disc. When I then double click on the drive I get an error message saying 'E:\ is not accessible Incorrect function.'

My drive says it's a DVD-RW Drive with no disc inserted although in Device Manager it says it's a nec dvd +-rw nd-3530a. The -RW DVD discs work fine.

I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the drive to no avail. I've also right clicked on the drive and gone to the recording tab and selected the enable cd recording. After doing this I no longer get the 'not accessible' message but when I try to copy to a disc I get the message 'Windows has encountered a problem when trying to copy this file. What do you want windows to do? (Retry? Skip? Cancel?)'

Any help would be great, I haven't a clue apparently. lol
