Hello,

If a computer with Win XP (SP3) has three Admin Users (no Guest Account and no limited user accounts) and I want to add software for spyware and malware removal do I install the software under all three accounts and then run them under all three accounts? I had ran the CCleaner under one account and noticed that it only cleaned out the files of the user that I was logged in as.

Also, I need to uninstall the current antivirus and install a new one, which account would I do that under?? Again, do I run the antivirus scan under each account?

Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
jv

You can have as many Admin accounts as you want.
Normally software under XP runs under all accounts but additional options may be provided for shortcuts on an individual desktop/Start Menu or all desktops/Start Menus. But apart from that it makes no difference.

Anti-virus wise, install it under any account and then when the others are used it'll protect those and the global portion of the system too. There are nasty pieces of malware out there are known to infect on an account-by-account basis so it's not uncommon to find one account squeaky-clean and a second account crawling with infection references in the local registry.
