Hi,

I have encountered this problem everytime I log in to internet.

"Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Sometime I can still surf when this message appear. I just ignore it. But after a while, the programs hang. I tried to shut down but everything got hang. And I unable to shut down and have no choice but to take out the battery.

Hope for your advise.

Thank You.

Rgds,
William

Please check the error messages by looking in the Event Viewer (Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Event Viewer).

Can you tell me what are the error messages you get? Like for example, in the IE events? Anything to give us clues on the cause of your Generic Host Process problem.

Hi Karbo,

Really appreciate you taking this up.
I think it is solved as the message did not appear anymore...
I did a SP 3 update...

Thanks.

William
