Hi forum i bet you here this at least once a day but i did not see it posted so i will ask and see if i dont get flamed out for asking this
I am not rich by any means but i love to game. mostly RTS and RPG which can both be very taxing on the video card i have been told right now i have 1 NVIDIA GeForce 6800 256 mb and well to be honest it is not holding up to my standards. i have to run all my games on their lowest setting. Any way what is the best video card but at the best price. any thing you can tell me will help. thank you in advance.Oh and it is a PCI Mother board.

i am sorry to say this but i am not sure. i bought this computer form a friend and he is no longer around. all i know is its an ACER mother board and it has 2 slots for video cards and to be honest i think that the mother board is needing an upgrade as well cause one of the little fans on it.... i think it goes to the "GPU" has stopped working. so i guesse then i need to replace the MB as well.

Its a socket 939 AMD board and has 2 pci express slots. You have PCI EXPRESS so you will want to get some type of pci express video card. Depends on what budget you have..

What is the exact CPU model that you have so that we can see if that is up to standard also..
Wouldn't hurt to list all of the pc specs like how much ram you have to.

You mentioned that a fan has stopped? Are you basing that on the PC Health section of your CMOS? Sometimes the sensors don't pick up all the fans. If your system isn't just turning itself off, (it may even flash a screen saying closing down due to a thermal event), then your MB is not overheating...

Thank you for the drive safe. i am basing the fan not running on the fact that i have taken off the side and put a small house fan on the fan that is not working lol. As for rest of specs here they are

good video card benchmarking here at the tech report...
you can easily get a great card for under $600.00...be sure to check out the power requirements for the card you choose...you may have to get a bigger PSU to support the card...
