help! can't figure out how to change the application that open

HELP! I have an apple ibook g4 and everytime i go to download somethin it opens with adobe after effects. . That is not the correct application. How do I fix this HUGE problem? ANYONE HELP!!!

Right click on the file you want to open, then select "Get Info" You should see an Open With Option. Select the program you want to use. There is also a Change All button that will set it for all of the same types of files.

i dont know what application to use to open it. haha i guess im not very computer smart

i wanted to download firefox but when i do download it i dont know what application to use to open it. .thank you for takin time to help me

Hi Lisaleom :),

You don't need any other application to run Firefox.

Be sure you have downloaded the Mac version (dmg file), double-click it. You will see the license agreement, after read it, click on accept. Then it will open a window with the Firefox and Applications icon. Drag Firefox on Applications in order to copy Firefox there. Then, you have just to go under Applications to find Firefox and run it by double-clicking it.

If you want to see any application on your Dock, just select it from your Applications folder and drag it to the dock, it will create a shortcut.
