New member, hope I'm doing this right. I must empty the recycle bin. Instructions (Start-Programs-accessories-system tools) doesn't seem to work. Unable to defragment also. Thanks

Hi TARGET66 and welcome to geeks to go,
Locate the Recycle bin on your desktop, right click on it and choose Empty recycle bin,

If you haven't in a while or never have you would probably be best off to reboot to safe mode (start tapping the F8 key as your computer is restarting ) choose option 3 for safe mode, once in safe mode, Click Start > Programs >Accessories>System Tools>Maintenance Wizard, it will run through disk clean up>scandisk and then finally Disk Defragmenter,
It may take a while,, also before you reboot back to normal mode empty your recycle bin again
