Hello, I'd like to buy a wireless router, but I can't tell which one is better, so if someone who tried them both could help me :)

Oh and are both ok when it comes to xbox live? or this has nothing to do with Linksys/Dlink ?

Thank you!

Apologies for the delay.
Having used both brands, it mostly depends on the model you are looking at. Both brands have good and bad models.
If you are looking for a decent inexpensive router I would suggest a Linksys WRT54GL (DO NOT CONFUSE With WRT54G).
After purchasing I would go to http://DD-WRT.com and download the latest stable version for the WRT54GL. This is a fairly simple upgrade, directions are provided on that web site.

If you are looking for a more expensive and more gaming orientated router. I would suggest the DLINK 4300 or 4500.

A friend of mine has been running a WRT54GL with DD-WRT with his XBOX live account for over a year now with no issues.
The WRT54GL replaced a netgear router that was constantly disconnecting the XBOX.

Hope this helps.
