so recently i've been waking up every day with some horrible song in my head (a different level of awful every day in fact). Not contented to keep the insanity to myself i tend to sing a bar of the song to my wife, thereby transfering the song from my head to hers and effectively relieving my torture. You can imagine that she's not a big fan of this practice so, i've had to find a new outlet.

If getting the song out of my brain into one other brain works so well, then getting it into 20 or so brains should make it even better right?

I know i'm not the only person with this affliction so this thread will serve as the dumping grounds for all of those songs that you can't stand to have in your head. If you wake up with a song from xanadu in your brain, post the name and a bit of the lyrics here, if you find yourself humming a few bars of a Don Henley album against your will while you're working then expell the demons by posting it in this thread. Eventually we might all be singing the same song in our heads which should relieve your brain of the need to support it solo.

Basic forum rules apply, keep it clean, keep it civil, and keep it fun. Make sure to post the most catchy and memorable part of the song, it will give you the best chance of transfering it to someone else. Also post the title and the artist.

Here's the gem that i woke up with this morning:

OLIVIA ONG - SOMETIMES WHEN WE TOUCH

And sometimes when we touch
The honestys too much
And I have to close my eyes and hide
I want to hold you till I die
Till we both break down and cry
I want to hold you till the fear in me subsides

.....GAAAAHHHH!!!

ha ha thanks for putting that song in my head, but I got one to give right back.... a buddy of mine at work has a new girlfriend named Sara, and he talks about her all the time so this song jumps into my head about three or more times a week. The funny thing is I start humming or singing it at random times, and he looks at me like I'm crazy.

the song is Sara from Starship its an early 80"s song...

Go now, don't look back, we've drawn the line
Move on, it's no good to go back in time

I'll never find another girl like you, for happy endings it takes two
We're fire and ice, the dream won't come true

Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time for goodbyes

Danger in the game when the stakes are high
Branded, my heart was branded while my senses stood by

I'll never find another girl like you, for happy endings it takes two
We're fire and ice, the dream won't come true

Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time, oh
Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time for goodbyes

LOL, i like this idea :)

Space Oddity -David Bowie

Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit's dead, there's something wrong
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you....

"Here am I floating round my tin can
Far above the Moon
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do."

Kansas - Carry On My Wayward Son

Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more

Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher
But I flew too high

Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man
I hear the voices when I'm dreaming
I can hear them say

....i actually like this song...but once it's in there it's never coming out

Great idea dsenette. :)

The version of this that has been stuck in my head for weeks now is from an aussie show where they have the two guest contestants do a duet at the end of the show. You will know the song once you hear it. A great show, though I warn you not to watch the video... the song will definitely get stuck in your head. You have been warned...

1-2-3- originally by Len Barry

1-2-3 (1-2-3) oh, that's how
Elementary it's gonna be
Come on, lets fall in love

It's easy (it's so easy)

Like taking candy from a baby

A-B-C (A-B-C)
Falling in love with you
Was easy for me (easy for me)

And you can do it too
It's easy (it's so easy)
Like taking candy from a baby

Went there for my honeymoon.

Yep Sure did have a good time. I went right when the Holiday Season ended so a lot of rides closed. However that is the best way to catch the Holiday Festivities. Lines are a lot shorter.

She keeps her Moet et Chandon
In her pretty cabinet
"Let them eat cake" she says
Just like Marie Antoinette
A built-in remedy
For Khrushchev and Kennedy
At anytime an invitation
You can't decline
Caviar and cigarettes
Well versed in etiquette
Extraordinarily nice

She's a killer queen
Gunpowder, gelatine
Dynamite with a laserbeam
Guaranteed to blow your mind
Anytime
Ooh, recommended at the price
Insatiable an appetite
Wanna try?

Queen - Killer Queen

I actually like the song! But I don't want to hear it 24/7. :)

thats right... I remember you talking about it in the staff forums.

shorter lines are a good thing, a friend once told me she once waited about 5 hours in a line for a ride. Thats more then half your day right there.
