My computer is only 9 months old and it has started freezing when i am on the internet and have other operations open. It will freeze turn white and then shut everything down. Sometimes it will shut my whole computer down without any warning even with a full battery and on the power cord.

Also when trying to move from website to website an error will come up saying i windows and internet explorer cant do this operation and then will freeze again turning the screen white?

My computer has also reconfigured where everything goes on the desktop after shutting itself down one time?

I have MacAfee and do a scan one a week and clean everything out but it is still freezing and is very frustrating.....

What can i do to fix this?

Hi kaitlin, and welcome! :)

I have to admit, there could be a number of causes to your problem.

My first thought is that your computer may be infected. McAfee is not the be-all and end-all of computer security. It should be one tool in your arsenal!

Please follow through the instructions here, and post a log in the malware forum. If you are still having problems after being certified clean, come back here and we'll continue with some other options.

Cheers

Didnt know if this is the right place for the Hijackthis logs or not

You may seriously consider taking the advantage of the warranty, but let's try something else...

Download, and install WhoCrashed: http://www.resplende...rashedSetup.exe
Open it, click Analyze button.
WhoCrashed will create report.
Copy, and paste it into your next reply.
