I hope you all are kind in your enlightenment....because I have a newbie question that I haven't found the answer to through Google but I ended up here and I hope someone will help.

I have 2 computers that I want to upgrade the video card on. One is a Dell Optiplex 280 that I have Vista Home Premium on and the other is an old Gateway 505GR running xp pro.

I bought a ASUS EAH3450/DI/256M Radeon HD 3450 256MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Low Profile Video Card from Tiger Direct last night and a lot of used cards off of ebay today.

I am not a gamer at all and only want my Vista score to be higher (dumb I know), teach myself about upgrading my sytem, and maybe I'll see the results in my photoshop work.

Here is the actual dumb newbie question:

When my new cards arrive, do I simply install them and update drivers or do I have to remove whatever it is that is performing that task now?

Thanks in advance for any help or direction you can provide.
