This issue has been around for a couple of weeks now and its getting irritating. Every time you go to open an mpg it trys to aquire codec then says codec aquired. But then all the sudden this pops up

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or a required codec might not be installed on your computer.

Even though it just said it found it. So then i click help and try to install a new codec but it cant find any. This happens with media play real player quicktime and so one. It can play the audio of avi's and i can still see the videos with adobe premiere 3 but i can play them with anything else. Please Help!

You could download the K-Lite Codec Pack standard or basic version.
