xp hang while reinstalling windows

I have a presario SR1703WM I am using the recovery disks that I created to reinstall windows XP. I have run 9 disks with no problems, when i get to the 10th disk I hear the CD drive start spinning fast then slow and stop. Messege reads please insert disk #10. so i re insert disk # 10 and click OK and the same thing happens.

I tried disk #11 and #12 thinking I might have numbered them wrong but no go.

I am hung out to dry looking for a fast reply......thanks

It may be something wrong with the CD itself. Did you try to clean it?
If it doesn't work, I'd call HP. They'll send you recovery disk, either for free, or for shipping cost.
