I'm not sure if my system is just failing or if I've been hacked or what. I have no idea how to find out.

Photoshop/ImageReady function but delayed
Chain of Command (game) freezes
I am as of today having to reset my IP addresses as I lose my connections to the internet.

I have 3 computer linked through a LinkSys Router (hard wired) and the other 2 don't seem to have problems.

Mine is running Vista Home Premium (with no problems to speak of until today)

the other 2 are running XP

I've run a-squared and it found nothing
I've run AVG and it found nothing
I've run Malwarebytes and it found nothing
I've run SuperAntiSpyware and it found nothing

by nothing I mean nothing more than tracking cookies

other problems with programs happen from time to time as well

Please help me or direct me in the right direction

Turn off computer. Disconnect router, and modem from power source for 30 seconds.
Power them back on.
Restart computer.

If that doesn't work, bypass router, and connect computer straight to the modem.

If that doesn't work...
Go Start>Run (Start search in Vista), type in:
cmd
Click OK (in Vista, while holding CTRL, and SHIFT, press Enter).

In Command Prompt window, type in following commands, and hit Enter after each one:
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

Restart computer.

If that doesn't work...
Go Start>Run (Start search in Vista), type in:
cmd
Click OK (in Vista, while holding CTRL, and SHIFT, press Enter).

At Command Prompt, type in:
netsh int ip reset reset.log
Hit Enter.
Type in:
netsh winsock reset catalog
Hit Enter.

Restart computer.

If that doesn't work...
Download, install, and run WinSockFix: http://www.softpedia...inSockFix.shtml
Restart computer, and check again.

Since my last post and the response from Broni everything seems to be fine ... I didn't have to do what Broni suggested, but I really don't think that is the problem. I am working in the Malware section to see if that fixes all my woes.

Thanks Broni for your quick response.

Thanks in general to GeeksToGo .... what a great asset to those of us who know so little and need help
