My laptop wouldn't load vista anymore so I restored it to its factory settings. But when I was using the recovery tool options, it was extremely slow.

So I restored it and it loads vista but it is EXTREMELY slow. It takes like 5 minutes which is unusual considering it running on factory settings and when I click on something (like START) it takes four minutes for it to pop up but it's not functional.

Is it a hardware issue?

I tried doing the recovery again, this time from the DVD... and it said it couldn't be done on the hardware... HD must've crashed. Also, I ran BIOS and performed the hard drive test and I got #1-04 FAIL. I researched online and the hard drive is dead. What hard drive is compatible with this lap top?

That's the one in my lap top.

Can I get this?
