If you have two different size monitors (22" & 224") with different max resolutions hooked up to one video card, do both monitors have to be set at the lower/common resolution?

I plan to watch dvd's, stream video, surf the internet on one and play MMORPG's on the other.

I have Vista Ultimate x64.

Thanks

No. Each monitor can have its own resolution, set through "Display settings". The resolution top limit depends only on your video card.
