Hi there. Thanks in advance for any help. Today I have several power outages in a very short amount of time. Twice my computer was on. Now when I try to log on it goes to chkdsk and gets to 81% completion in phase 1 and stops. If I click to cancel chkdsk it logs up and just freezes at the main screen. I cannot get system recovery to come up at all and just now got where I can get safe mode but even that won't work because it just goes to chkdsk and freezes. Can anyone help me get this up and running. Oh and btw, I still have networking because I am able to log on a different computer on my network.

I have windows xp professional. I don't have a bootable disk or the original xp program to reinstall.

Thanks again!
