Hello all, so I have been having this problem for about ever since I have had my laptop. My laptop is a Compaq C751NR and it is about a year old. It originally came with vista installed but I downgraded to XP and got all of the drivers to correctly work. A couple of months in and the problem started, whenever I start up my laptop, either from hibernation or when it is turned off, about 75% of the time the computer starts but just goes to a blank screen. When it does this I have to restart it maybe up to 4 times to get it to correctly boot up. There are four led lights located on the bottom of my laptop and when this happens only the power and wireless leds come on, the battery and charging led never come on. Any ideas?
