OS: Windows XP with service pack 3
Platform: Acer Aspire 5100 AWLMi
Am trying to help my friend set up NETGEAR router DG834G. However, as he has actually broken the disc for the router, I had to abandon the effort. However, now we cannot access the internet, as we get an error message 80048869. According to the Microsoft Website it gives the following descriptions of the message:
1: Login unsuccessful
Error Code: 80048869
2: Signing in was unsuccessful because of an error.
Please wait awhile and try again. If the problem persists, contact support
Error Code: 80048869
It appears as if the computer is looking for a signal from NETGEAR and will no longer use the local and Internet ADSL service.
If you can get me a fix for this, it will not only save a friendship, but be a fabulous confirmation of my belief in your group.
