Hi all,
I am new to this forum & need some help.
I had a crash with my xp os. I have three internal hd one ide & two sata. the ide crashed with a sytem root hal.dll problem. I had a spare ide drive & managed to reformat it ti ntfs this is my boot drive.
the system is up and running. However the two sata drives with important data are not accessible with out reformating.
I do not want to loose the data. I have two usb external drives that can be accessed ok.
How can i access / activate the sata drives with out re formatting?
will I need to make them external usb drives? If I do this will the data be accessible?

Your help & comments greatly appreciated.
