The OS is XP Pro 2002 with service pack 3

Ok, I have done with you said about trying all the ports.

Nothing seems to work. They all say that it is unrecognized.

So please tell me how to update them since I am sure I have XP Pro 2002 with service pack 3.

And again thanks for your help.

Go to Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Right click each of the drivers and chose Uninstall. Reboot the computer and let windows install the drivers back. Please note: Some USB hardware will have to be installed manually, printers for example.
