Firstly apologies if I have asked in the wrong section. I have been to Malware removal, but I think I first need to identify what I actually have virus/trojan/worm????

I received a spam email via Hotmail, I deleted it but then saw that it had sent itself to everyone in my contact........ it was advertising electrical goods, hot-buy.

Now when I open a new message to send this message from hot-buy is already in the send box, the same applies when I try and reply to an email - message appears. Driving me mad. I have run a couple of anti-virus but no luck. Please excuse because I am not great at IT and don't always understand the terminolgy used - improving by the day though!

Any help greatly appreciated.....

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum. If you are unable to run and/or post a HJT log, then post that in your initial post in the topic you create in that forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
