Major "Favorites" problems Favorites are missing & cannot add to them

I just purchased my first laptop for and my husband, the computer pro in our house, transferred all my documents and favorites over from our desktop to my computer. But somehow, I have wiped out all of the favorites and now we cannot add to them at all. Not sure what to do to fix it. He searched for over 3 hours last night to find a solution. Any help would be wonderful!!!!

Hi pughster,

To be able to help you we will need to know which versions of Windows and which browser you are using (IE?)
I would also like to know the method you used to transfer the Favorites.
