Hi G2G

My sister called me today to say her pc was running very slowly, shes not very good with computers and I know she would struggle with the sections used to help diagnose problems.

I just wanted to know what you could recommend to sort this out once and for all

Thanks

Without knowing more information, that's very difficult to answer. There are a lot of reasons a PC could be slow:

  • Multiple antivirus programs
  • Fragmented hard drive (run defrag)
  • Malware
  • Not enough RAM
  • Too many unnecessary programs at startup

One of our techs, Artellos, wrote a great little article here which covers many of these points. I'd at least suggest that as a starting point.
